Madan L Malhotra joined H.S. International in June 2007. He has over 20 years of hands-on engineering experience devoted to developing cardiovascular drive consoles for Thoratec Corporation from 2001 to 2008, and endoscopic instruments for Stryker Endoscopy from 1995 to 2001. Prior to embarking on an extensive career within the medical device industry, Madan established his mechanical engineering aptitude within the automotive industry for Honda Motor Co., Ltd. As a successful business owner, Madan L Malhorta has also previously established and managed small retail enterprises.
Henry Shapiro
Senior Vice President and Business Advisor
Henry Shapiro is the founder of H.S. International who has dedicated over 30 years of his career to developing a reputable medical device company dedicated to improving the quality of human lives. Henry Shapiro has developed a variety of high quality ophthalmic surgical instruments that have been widely used by leading doctors throughout the world. Henry Shapiro holds several US and International patents, including the famous Shapiro cutter. Henry has dedicated his entire professional life to the surgical ophthalmology field. His immense interaction within the industry has given him an admirable and well respected reputation. Prior to establishing H.S. international, Henry. Shapiro launched his career with Cooper Vision, Inc, where he devoted over 10 years of his career to challenging engineering positions.
Sonia Lal
Vice President of Operations
Sonia Lal joined H.S. International as a Supply Chain Manager in June 2002 and with over 10 years at the company, Sonia today leads the Operations team. Sonia has over 20 years of experience in various industries supporting prominant companies, such as SanDisk and Bay Networks. Sonia Lal worked in several capacities, including a RMA Engineering Specialist, Production Supervisor, and a Manager for a small retail enterprise.
Neelam Ghuliani
Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development
Neelam Ghuliani joined H.S. International in December of 2007. She leads all business development activity and shapes company strategies for new market trends. Neelam has over 20 years of experience in various industries working for cheif companies, including Intel, Siemens, Cisco Systems, NEC, PG&E and Covance, one of the world's largest biomedical drug development companies. Neelam Ghuliani worked in several capacities, including Senior Systems Engineer, Director of IT, and Director of Engineering.
